About Rebekah
A San Francisco native, Rebekah has devoted her career to the public good. Her sense of purpose is grounded in tikkun olam— the Jewish imperative to repair the world.
In the Mayor’s Office, Rebekah shaped San Francisco’s fiscal strategy through years of significant constraints, navigating high-stakes tradeoffs among competing needs and obligations to produce a balanced budget. At the San Francisco Arts Commission, she transformed a $15 million agency into a $40 million one, expanding the City’s capacity to serve its arts and culture ecosystem. At the City Attorney’s Office, she built a statewide coalition of public law offices, identifying shared interests to advance legislation and secure resources to protect civil rights.
Across these roles, Rebekah developed the judgment to navigate complexity, bring people together around a shared purpose, and turn ambitious ideas into action. She brings that experience to her work as Principal of RK Consulting.
Rebekah also belongs to Equilibrium Collaborative.
She holds a Master of Public Policy from UC Berkeley’s Goldman School and a BA in Sociology from Columbia University. She lives on a floating home, where life on the water is a daily source of peace and inspiration.
